VIDEO - How to UnGoogle Yourself
Yesterday I wrote a post about how to monitor your online identity using Google Alerts. After I wrote it, I remembered a pilot for a video show I produced earlier this year. It was called “How To UnGoogle Yourself” and I thought I would post it here. Let me know what you think of it?

I will forever envision you in that green track suit and I’ll hear Naughty by Nature in my head as a theme song whenever I receive one of your ultra informative tweets. ![]()

Jimmy, his video was too tame. I thought he was going to moon us or something like that. Or show drunk photos.
Seems to me that the best way is, as you said, to alter the existing material so it shows different information. If you simply delete it, you will still be able to find it in cached versions.
The stuff about the dual email addresses is good because there are special tools to search out email addresses that can link all of your accounts together even if you use different names.
It might be true that once posted info is there forever but lots of it seems to be very difficult to find after some time goes by so I don’t know how true that is.
